SASC Weekly Updates
- The Mar/Apr Newsletter is available here.
- Our next blood drive with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is on Fri, Mar 22. If you would like to make an appointment, you can do so here, or call SASC at 734.429.9274 and we can set one up for you.
- There will be no blood pressure checks on March 20, due to staff shortage.
- Please contact Andrea, lewisa@salineschools org, if you are interested in helping out this spring and summer in our gardens in the front and back of our building. This includes some weeding, trimming, and watering. In order to utilize our raised garden beds, we will need several volunteers willing to help out a few days a week. Thank you for considering sharing your time and talents with us.
Please be sure to register by March 15 so we can meet our minimum of 25. The trip is in cooperation with Pittsfield Senior Center and will be a stop on our route. This is about a 2 hour bus ride but we will watch a movie or two while we travel. Register online or at the front desk.

In the world of popular music in the US, what is a "One Hit Wonder"? It's when an artist or group has a song that reaches the Billboard Top 40 and then never has another Top 40 hit. Many One Hit Wonders have similar elements that made them memorable. Let's listen, enjoy and remember these One shot hits from 1958 - 1972. Thank you to Brookhaven Manor for sponsoring this program. Refreshments served. Register at the front desk or online.
Our Euchre Tourneys are always a fun, relaxed evening! Thank you to Brecon Village for sponsoring the delicious chicken pot pies and top two winners. Although Wednesday was Detroit Day (3/13), we went with a Pi Day theme (3/14). The top two winners received gift cards to Grand Traverse Pie Company and most loners/last place received delicious cherry tarts from Life is Sweet Bakery. With five tables, John was our top winner with 74 points and he also had the most loners, five points. Bill earned 60 points as our second place winner, and finally Mary earned the last place prize with 32 points. Congratulations!
