Butterflies and Blooms
Register soon for our trip to Frederick Meijer Gardens! More information is below. Click here for the mlive article on Meijer Gardens being voted as the No. 1 Sculpture Park in the US.

It is time for a dose of spring! We’ll travel two hours on a luxury charter bus to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand  Rapids. You’ll have four hours to walk amidst the 7,000 tropical butterflies of 60 different species in the Conservatory, while you take in  the fragrant hyacinths, tulips, and daffodils that flank the caterpillar room. You can also wander the acres of outdoor gardens and sculptures for the afternoon. Lunch will be on your own at your cost, whenever you desire in the James & Shirley Belk Café, with a globally inspired menu of sandwiches, salads, and bites, sourced from local ingredients.

The trip is in cooperation with Pittsfield Senior Center and will be a stop on our route. This is about a 2 hour bus ride but we will watch a movie or two while we travel.  Min 25/Max 50. Deadline: Mar 15. Register online or at the front desk.

Have you heard about the fun our SASC Pickleball group has been having but have been hesitant to join because you don’t know how to play? Or are you currently playing Pickleball but want to brush up on the rules and skills to improve your game? Our member volunteer Paul Backlas and several other players are here to help! The goal will be to teach the game, including the rules, techniques, and tips to make you feel comfortable playing in a group setting. This will be held at Liberty School. Register at the front desk or online.

Now through the end of April, Sue Kelch will have her photography on display at SASC. A member of SAS-C Writers and the Silver Shutterbugs, you can see her submission to The Saline Post here.
