Are you looking to give back to the community? This week is Volunteer Appreciation Week; we couldn't run Meals on Wheels without our dedicated drivers. We are looking for extra substitute drivers; if you are interested, please reach out to Kathy Adamson at adamsonk@salineschools.org or 734.429.9274. Typically routes are about 1-1/2 hours and possible days needed are Wed, Thu, or Fri. You can sub as much or as little as you'd like! Meals are prepared and picked up at EVH Saline. You will train with a current driver. Thank you for your consideration!

This low to medium-impact exercise program will lead participants through this new exercise class that will help you build and maintain strong bones. The focus of this class is to help participants improve bone and overall health through exercise. These exercises include strength training, balance, and gentle stretching. Information on nutrition, safety training, and bone health education will also be shared.

Have you ever wanted to show members of your family your ancestral tree and teach them about their family history? After this class, you will be able to create a family tree and learn where and how to search for records online. Carol Torssell has over 35 years of genealogy experience and has discovered ancestors back to the 1600’s in the U.S., Poland, and Germany and she looks forward to answering your questions. Bring a notebook along with your parents’ vital information (and grandparents too if you have info) to get started!

Carol Torssell is available for individual Genealogy Appointments for you to receive one-on-one time to explore Ancestry.com and other sites, and build your tree and leaves. Be sure to bring any information you have already compiled. Appointments will take place at SASC. You may bring your laptop or use Carol’s to access several sites. Call the front desk for an appointment and we will send you an invoice via email for you to pay, or register at the front desk. Carol will have availability Mon-Wed for 90 minute appointments, 11am or 1pm, in May and will call you ahead of time with any questions.
